0Cr13Ni8Mo2Al steel is a high-strength martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel with good plasticity, good comprehensive mechanical properties and simple processing technology. It is suitable for making large size parts and has been widely used in aviation. However, high strength steel is prone to stress corrosion, which can cause catastrophic accidents. Therefore, it is of great significance to conduct a detailed study of its corrosion properties (stress corrosion, oxidation resistance, salt spray resistance, etc.). The remarkable characteristics of this steel are excellent fracture toughness, good transverse mechanical properties and stress corrosion resistance in marine environment, in addition to high strength. In order to accurately control the alloy composition, reduce the gas content in steel and improve the purity of steel, VIM 10 VAR double vacuum melting process should be adopted in production.
